What is this job really like?
  • Conduct market research and compile industry data, which would include collecting, analyzing and evaluating data and other information;
  • Assist Business Development Manager by working with industry associations to identify opportunities of collaboration and assist them in the process of forming export partnerships;
  • Assist with the identification and development of new initiatives for export promotion and support ongoing initiatives for increased production and value addition of these services for potential export;
  • Assist with identifying, developing and preparing quotations for new and ongoing business opportunities;
  • Participate in the development and delivery of trade shows through identification of opportunities including the logistic coordination of various trade shows.
Knowledge & Experience Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in Business, Economics, Social Sciences or related discipline;
  • One to two years experience in marketing business services;
  • Experience in the areas of the international trade/export sector and, in particular, shipbuilding;
  • Strong research and analytical skills;
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with diverse groups;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of international markets, export procedures/logistics and marketing practices are considered an asset;
  • Experience in, or exposure to, the shipbuilding marketing industry would be an asset.
